The 2026 edition, themed “Wonders of the Living World”, highlights biodiversity through several installations:
birds, parrots, felines, giraffes and a large Mother Nature figure symbolising the link between humans and the environment.
Each sculpture is made of thousands of oranges and lemons.
The fruits are attached to metal structures using rubber bands — orange for oranges, yellow for lemons — allowing them to be removed easily without damage.
Once the festival ends, the citrus fruits are not thrown away: they are sold to the public and continue their normal use.
But the Lemon Festival is not limited to the Biovès Gardens.
Throughout the event, the town hosts various activities:
– the Golden Fruit parades with citrus - decorated floats, music and performers
– evening illuminated parades
– workshops and activities for children about nature and citrus
– craft exhibitions and themed markets
– entertainment across different neighbourhoods
Even in February, outdoor life continues and the town remains lively.
For a few weeks, daily walks simply take on a different scenery.
