A rich and festive program
For more than two weeks, the city of Menton transforms into an open-air theater. The Biovès Gardens, the heart of the event, host giant sculptures made of lemons and oranges, illuminated at night to become the spectacular "Gardens of Lights."
The famous "Corsos des fruits d’or," held on Sundays February 16, 23, and March 2, will light up the Promenade du Soleil with citrus floats, accompanied by marching bands and folk groups. The nighttime parades, scheduled for Thursdays February 20 and 27, offer an even more magical experience, with a festive atmosphere and fireworks to end the evening.
Did you know?
- The lemons used for the Festival don’t come from Menton but other regions, as the Menton lemon, protected by a PGI, is reserved for gastronomy.
- 120 tons of citrus fruits and 1 million rubber bands are needed to assemble the floats and sculptures.
A bit of history
